Perched high on the hill right above the pristine coral reef, Anse Chastanet Resort on St. Lucia’s quiet south-western coast offers a panoramic view of the shimmering Caribbean Sea of Chastanet bay and Anse Chastanet beach. Two magical peaks, the Pitons, leap from the sea and the mountains are covered with luminous greenery. Architect owner Nick Troubetzkoy believes passionately in nature. So he created a hotel that makes the foliage and the flowers, the perfumes and the peaks, the sea and the bird song an integral part of your vacation experience. What were Caribbean hotels like before trade winds were replaced by blasts of air conditioning, when morning exercise was a walk on the beach and when you sat watching the sunset instead of cable TV? . A dozen rooms are tucked in behind the coconut palms that line the beach and the remainder tiptoe up a flower decked hillside. To make the most of the panoramic views and the refreshing trade winds octagonal whitewashed cottages come with wraparound flower draped balconies and louvered windows.

Our therapies combine both ancient and contemporary techniques in a natural manner. They are designed to bring balance and equilibrium to meet the needs of each individual. Kai Mer can be booked for the following treatments: Swedish or Deep Tissue Massage, Aromatherapy, Shiatsu, Foot Reflexology or Thai Foot Massage. Our product range includes natural ingredients from our organic farm Emerald's, aromatherapy products from Aromatherapy Associates and Ayurvedic products from Tara. Our therapists have undergone intensive Ayurvedic training learning the philosophy, history and beliefs of Ayurveda. They are qualified to assist clients in learning more about Ayurveda and their own specific dosha as well as the Ayurvedic treatment modalities. Our yoga classes are non-competitive and open to complete beginners, as well, more challenging variations are offered to more experienced students. Our yoga instructors are available for private Yoga sessions, which are excellent if you have chronic physical pain or chronic mental stress, and would like to learn some techniques to take home with you for relief, as well as if you are a more focused Yoga student and would like to evolve your practice to a deeper level! Enjoy a beautiful hike, with medium intensity, either in the morning or the afternoon that finishes with a refreshing mind and body calming yoga session in the open air, one with nature. Meditation and Paranayama classes help train the mind and bring forth a more present consciousness. The estate bike trails at Anse Mamin are available to our resident guests for independent jogging in the morning and afternoons. Also, there are daily escorted walks and hikes available on the 600 acre estate. Our resident fitness instructor offers a fitness oriented program daily, including a jump start beach circuit training, fitness interval trail run and a fitness fusion class combining elements of aerobics with core strength training using light weights and stability balls to optimize results. Our trainer is a fitness and nutrition professional. The active minded will enjoy water sports, scuba diving and a jungle biking adventure on one of the resort Cannondale mountain bikes. Sailing on the resort's 42 ft. gulfstar sailing yacht, Serenity. Let the crew take you out on a full day, half day or sunset sailing trip. The Serenity can also be chartered for private sailing.

Whether you fancy fine tropical Caribbean Cuisine, exotic Creole flavours, or simple grilled fare, you will find it available and more. Our culinary options also include our St. Lucia-Indian menu titled Apsara, a wholly vegetarian restaurant called Emerald's and last but not least our Jungle Grill for day time laid back dining on our second beach Anse Mamin. And of course, all of our kitchens receive organic produce from our resort farm Emerald's in the Soufriere hills.

With such a unique setting as his canvas, Nick Troubetzkoy was inspired to design a one-of-a-kind resort. He was committed to an environmentally conscious development before “green” became fashionable. A dozen rooms are tucked in behind the coconut palms that line the beach and the remainder tiptoe up a flower decked hillside. To make the most of the panoramic views and the refreshing tradewinds octagonal whitewashed cottages come with wraparound flower draped balconies and louvered windows.
