The ethos of Mango Bay is to create something close to nature, an unpretentious resort that is the antithesis of luxury. Here, despite the size of the land, there are only 44 rooms and villas, each unique and each hidden away from the beach.

Let us take care of you in our Spa. All our staff is professional qualified and our products are made with 100% natural ingredients. Unwind, spoil yourself and nourish your senses. We offer complimentary Yoga and/or Tai Chi classes everyday on the beach. Previous experience is not needed, classes are suitable for everyone. Snorkelling among the coral reefs, paddle boarding, canoeing, and yoga in front of the spa at sunset and tai chi on the beach are just the start. Those into kayaking can take traditional, wooden-style fishing boats out into the sea, while the resort also provides free bicycle rental. Mango Bay works with Flipper Diving Club to provide snorkelling for those who want to travel out to the nearby islands and scuba diving. During the rainy season, tours head to the southern part of Phu Quoc, while in the dry season, they go north to the archipelago just off An Thoi, the fishing port on the southern tip of the main island.

With the cooler, Gulf of Thailand waters around Phu Quoc producing such good seafood — the island is known in for its squid, anchovies, prawns and mackerel — this is all complemented by Vietnamese-style dishes from the sea. Naturally much of the food is Vietnamese, with ingredients where possible being sourced from Phu Quoc. Vietnamese street food favourites make the menu, with options including pho bo (beef noodle soup), bun ga xao (rice noodles with fried chicken), bun cha (rice noodles with fresh herbs and barbecued pork), banh xeo (Vietnamese pancakes) and nem cua (Hanoi-style crab spring rolls).

At Mango Bay we have a long term view as a sustainable resort, seeing ourselves as custodians of the tropical idyll we have found on Phu Quoc. Natural air circulation and fans – no air conditioning, No TV on property or telephone in bungalows, Use of natural light during the day, Minimum use of fuel powered vehicles, machines and equipment, Hot water heated through solar power, Energy efficient appliances, Low wattage light bulbs, Change of linen only upon request, Switch off lights when not used, Use of cooling boxes for refrigeration purposes in our bars, kitchen and eco-friendly minibar in bungalows. Water conservation, Recycling and waste, Land and nature conservation and Community.
